Summary

The Facets Application Software Engineering's role is to analyze, design, program and test computer software programs and applications. Works closely with Product Design, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Quality Assurance and Customer Support to assess, enhance, maintain and support software solutions to business problems. Using strong logic, computer language syntax and sequencing skills, combined with healthcare industry and practical knowledge, deliver and maintain applications and software providing comprehensive business solutions to the healthcare industry.

Ability to analyze, organize and deliver complex healthcare solutions with emphasis on Claims Processing and Adjudication. Knowledge of Facets Claims Processing, Plan Setup and configuration a plus. Strong problem solving skills a must. Ability to work within existing legacy code base following predefined structures and rules. Must be a team player. Quality focused. Ability to deliver on customer commitments. Ability to improve architecture.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Demonstrates expert proficiency using appropriate tools, platforms, languages, and application programs; proficient knowledge of TriZetto (or third party) products appropriate to department, such as Payer Healthcare Membership management, Claims processing, Plan Benefit subsystems development and basic knowledge of environmental management.
- Possesses high level industry expertise (i.e. healthcare, IT, etc.), understanding of the Business Unit (i.e. application support, code development, etc.) and Company's business (i.e. hosting, application development, etc.).
- Possesses strong knowledge of the Agile Software Development (Scrum) process. Ability to work within agile constructs and ceremony.
- In depth knowledge of software development utilizing .Net, C++, and C# including automated unit testing and test driven development.
- Leads application design, code reviews processes. Recommends changes in procedures and automates manual procedures.
- Demonstrates strong problem solving and technical analysis skills. Participates in defect triage, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation. Leads small to medium size projects and project teams. Adapt to and work within different development environments. Assume ownership of product features and or related application and system components. Communicate system functionality and topology in design pattern terminology.
- Creates or improves processes which facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration. detailed design and coding review and acts as a technical resource for troubleshooting and solving technical issues.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Relevant business programming experience considered for a strong candidate.
- Software development experience that includes .Net, C#, C++ and/or domain healthplan industry expertise.

- Proficient in knowledge of .Net, C#, C++
- Detailed knowledge of programming concepts including Object Oriented Programming
- Knowledge of relational database, MS SQL, Sybase, Oracle
- Knowledge of XML/XSL
- Knowledge of RESTful Services a plus
- Proficient in use of MicroSoft Office suite
- Knowledge of HP Application Lifecycle Management suite a plus
