Summary:
Software Engineer (Rhapsody Developer) will work with our clients, developing new applications and interfaces which are used to support our client’s critical business functions. Using strong logic and computer language skills, combined with healthcare industry and practical knowledge, they will deliver and maintain applications and software using the Orion Rhapsody interface engine and a standard development lifecycle methodology. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and unit testing systems integration projects within the Orion environment. The developer will work with other project team members including; integration team, application team, testing team, and external system team.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating proficiency with the appropriate tools, platforms, languages, and application programs leveraging knowledge of Orion (or third party) products and tools.
- Growing industry expertise (e.g., healthcare, IT, clinical etc.).
- Creating systems integration components using a formal development lifecycle and methodology.
- Triaging issues/defects, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation.
- Participating in processes which facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
- Acting as a technical resource for troubleshooting and solving technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of two years' related experience.
- Healthcare industry experience
- Inpatient clinical or revenue cycle management experience is preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Orion Rhapsody interface engine and development/implementation lifecycles
- Recent/current certification with Orion Rhapsody
- HL7 v2, HL7 v3, web services
- CCDA, CCD, C32 XML documents
- IHE profiles/XCA/XDS
- ICD 10 Transition, Meaningful Use Compliance, Reporting/Analytics, Registries and HIE/Interoperability projects
