Summary:
Primary responsibilities include managing a small development team of software engineers and QA Engineers. The development manager will oversees analysis, design, programming and testing tasks for key TriZetto software integrated within multiple applications. Working in an agile manner the development manager works closely with the Project Manager and Product owner to ensure successful delivery of new software releases. Effectively supports internal development teams consuming released software and versions under development.
Responsibilities Include:
- Direct management of development team members.
- Leading application design and code review processes.
- Demonstrate an expert proficiency using appropriate tools, platforms, languages, and application programs.
- Implement and oversee continuous integration development practices, including test driven development
- Work directly with architecture team to advance the technology of product and software under your management.
- Utilize previous experiences with TriZetto and or third party products, health care knowledge or ISV development experience to build on and advance software.
- Where needed, assist senior management in demonstrating and conveying the feature functionality and technology of software.
- Recommending improvements in procedures as well as solutions for streamlining and automating.
- Creating processes which facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration, as well as acting as a technical resource for subordinates to assist in troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of six years' related experience to include at least one year in a management or leadership role
- Expertise in the following:
- Java EE
- ReSTful API
- SPA development and or JavaScript
- MS SQL Server
- Working knowledge of any of the following in order of priority:
- TomEE or similar application server
- ORM Technologies, OpenJPA, Hibernate
- SoapUI, JUnit, Mockito
- Jenkins CI, Apache Maven
- Eclipse or similar IDE
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge with Microsoft SharePoint
- Experience with Confluence for Wiki development a plus
- Experience with commercial software development and delivery a plus
- Healthcare industry knowledge preferred but not required
- Limited travel
