Summary:
Software Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and testing software programs and applications. Working closely with Product Designer, Quality Assurance, Product Owner and Customer Support to evaluate, enhance, maintain and support software solutions. Using logic, computer language skills, combined with healthcare industry and practical knowledge, deliver and maintain software, based on business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating proficiency with appropriate tools, platforms, languages, and application programs using knowledge of TriZetto (or third party) products appropriate to the department.
- Growing industry expertise (e.g., healthcare, IT, etc.), understanding of the business unit (e.g., application support, code development, etc.) and the Company's business (i.e. hosting, application development, etc.).
- Creating application design and code reviews processes.
- Seeking improvements in procedures and in automating manual procedures.
- Triaging defects, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation.
- Use communication skills to keep manager informed of status on assignments using appropriate mediums.
- Participating in processes which facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration, detailed design, and coding review. Acting as a technical resource for troubleshooting and solving technical issues.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of two years' related experience. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
- Intermediate written and verbal communications skills.
- Intermediate organizational abilities.
- Intermediate comprehension capabilities.
- Limited travel.
Computer Skills:
- Limited knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Limited knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, including the following:
- Microsoft C#
- Microsoft TFS
- Microsoft SQL
- Limited knowledge of MVC
- Limited knowledge of Unit Testing
Other Abilities:
- Experience using Agile principles
- Intermediate mathematics aptitude
- Intermediate communication capabilities
- Intermediate organizational abilities
- Intermediate comprehension capabilities
